Itinerary
By Flight - Delhi to Varanasi | Transfer to hotel | Evening visit to Ghat to see Ganga Aarti On arrival at Varanasi airport, you will meet our driver/ representative and transfer to your booked hotel. Varanasi formerly known as Benares, is the most popular pilgrimage point for the Hindus and one of the seven holiest cities. Considered as the abode of Lord Shiva, Varanasi is situated on the banks of River Ganges, which is believed to have the power of washing away all of one's sins. Later proceed to visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Ghats crossing local market and witness the evening Aarti Ceremony on the Ganges. "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) is performed by a group of priests wherein the dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe. (You have to walk through the market for 500-800 meters and a few down steps to reach the ghats). Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Nil
Wake up early morning and get ready to go on a rower boat ride on River Ganges. Later proceed for a Temples tour covering Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, The New Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Hanuman Temple, and Tulsi Manas Temple. After visiting temples return to the hotel for breakfast. Afternoon, Continue your sightseeing tour to Sarnath on the outskirts of town, where the Buddha preached his first sermon in Deer Park, which contains the most impressive remains, as well as a modem temple. There are also the remains of a monastery and the beautifully polished Lion Capital of Ashoka. Visit the Park and Museum. Sarnath was made a Centre of Buddhist worship by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. You will get a chance to visit the Main Shrine and Ashoka's Pillar. Evening return back to the hotel and will be at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast
Wake up and have breakfast, you can have rest in your room or use the hotel’s in-house services. Later transfer to Varanasi airport in time to board on the flight to Delhi. Meals – Breakfast at hotel.
